Creamy Greek yogurt meets rich peanut butter and sweet honey in these effortless frozen treats. A simple mix-and-freeze recipe yielding soft, satisfying bites.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly with a spatula or whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  2. Step 2: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the peanut butter yogurt mixture.
  3. Step 3: Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper, or prepare a silicone mini-muffin or candy mold for shaping the bites.
  4. Step 4: Using a small spoon or a piping bag, drop or pipe tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture onto the lined baking sheet or into the prepared molds.
  5. Step 5: Place the baking sheet or mold in the freezer and allow the bites to freeze undisturbed for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until they are completely solid and firm to the touch.
  6. Step 6: Once frozen, carefully peel the bites off the parchment paper (or pop them out of the silicone mold) and transfer them immediately to a freezer-safe, airtight container for storage. Serve directly from the freezer.

Notes

  • To prevent freezer burn and sticky clumps, store the finished bites in a freezer-safe, airtight container layered with small squares of parchment paper.
  • If the bites are too hard immediately out of the deep freezer, let them sit at room temperature for 3 to 5 minutes before serving for a slightly softer, creamier texture.
  • For an extra layer of decadence, try crushing a few frozen bites and sprinkling them over vanilla ice cream or a warm brownie.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt if possible, as the extra fat content results in a much creamier, less icy texture once completely frozen.
